Prize Postdoctoral Visiting Fellowship

The Yale Center for the Invisible Universe (YCIU) seeks outstanding applicants for the inaugural Visiting Postdoctoral Fellowships. YCIU hosts pioneering research in dark matter, dark energy, gravity, black holes, and neutrinos. We support activities enabling collaboration across traditional scientific boundaries. The center offers a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment for discussions and interactions. Our goal is to uncover the fundamental forces that govern the universe and inspire global collaboration, spark curiosity, and empower the next generation of scientists to explore the Invisible Universe.

YCIU fellows will be invited to be in residence on Yale’s campus for one week to discuss their research and give a YCIU seminar. Preference will be given to applicants with research expertise in the invisible universe, with interests in areas such as dark matter and or/dark energy, neutrinos, and black holes. Applicants should identify at least one YCIU faculty member with whom they have research overlap. The fellowship will cover travel, lodging, and per diem for the week.

We solicit nominations or self-nominations via the YCIU email address below.   While in residence, in addition to the seminar scholars will be expected to engage with the YCIU community. At least two scholars will be accepted for the 2025-2026 academic year. Candidates should forward their CV, including a list of publications, a one-page statement of research interests, and arrange for two recommendation letters to be sent to yciu@yale.edu.
